MAMIHLAPINATAPAI

Mamihlapinatapai is a project brought to life in the late 2014 by two childhood friends, Luciano and Fernán, whom after years away from each other, met again in the Netherlands. Both were members of the Galician band Skarallaos, in which they acquired most of their musical growth. Fueled with energy and joy, Mamihlapinatapai is more than music. Mamihlapinatapai is a vehicle for expressing emotions and bringing happiness to everyone, in the midst of todays' sociopolitical situation, which is reflected through their lyrics. This is partially motivated and encouraged by all their experiences with different kinds of musical environments: Latin, Balkan, Jazz, Reggae, Flamenco. Their style can therefore be described as World Music in the widest of its meanings. As a result of their need for a richer sound, the family got bigger in 2015 with the arrival Denis on guitar and Guillermo on drums.
